We start to explore another part of town, the Rua das Flores.

It was the old goldsmiths' and jewellers' street. The Santa Casa da Misericordia (beside the Baroque Church da Misericordia) has a remarkable painting from the Flemish school Fons Vitae ( The Fountain of Life) given by King Manuel I around 1520.

We board on a '6 bridges cruise' from Tomaz do Douro

Afterwards we decide, at last, to try the sardines at Restaurantes Pezarros, on Cais da Ribeira (unfortunately I had tasted better ones)

Porto tasting at river terrace under the Luiz I bridge, before crossing it at the lower level.

Walk along the Cais de Gaia with all the Port Houses.

Mieke and myself take a tour on the Giant Wheel

Back to the hotel with the recently re-openen funicular.
